Low Water at Great Falls Dam Manitoba

Always fun to walk out on to the rocks when the water is
low and not rushing in from the Dam. Sort of a secret place
back behind the town that many are not aware of. That is
where I shot my Water Stone images from. Got lots of nice
images back there. Thanks and have a great day !!

The b&w format works well with both the rock formation and the overhead clouds. There is a immediate textural feel that comes through from the rocks along the shore that invites the viewer to reach right into the image to feel the weathered nature of the rocks.

A fine rendering from, as a you say, a great spot to hang out for the pursuit of just such opportunities.

A good reward from your walk.

Those clouds are something else.

Wondered how it might of effect the scene if you had used a very slow shutter speed

Hi Les. I did not take my tripod with me as there is lots of fancy
foot work required on the rocks. Grad filters are on my list to buy
next and a 300m lens. Then I think I am pretty much set (LOL)
Thanks Everyone !!
