For me the young boy's face over powers the image and almost halts the viewer's midnight walk along the sidewalk. I would not crop out the boy's image since without his image the picture feels empty... just wish there was something equally visually strong to help lead the viewer deep into the centre of the image.

Thanks, Jan... I don't "consciously" analize before I take a photo .....
( maybe, afterwards ).... I knew the boy's image was the strongest
component and I guess that is why I focused the lens on the
background....to bring a balance to the scene. I hoped the color blue (
boy's shirt and lighting ) would unify the two.

As always, I appreciate your input....well thought-out and articulate.

It certainly has an interesting feel to it, what with those inky blacks
and the wrinkle in the poster inside of that kiosk.

The Color comp works really well in this crazy image. I also like
that black square formed by the chair's legs found in the middle of
that walkway further down in the image !!

Really cool! I like the way you've composed this. Very nice. Sorta
whimsical but also kinda weird. Wonderful nighttime colors.
