A well done landscape with good composition, sharp and shows the west on a clouday day.

This is wonderful, a scraggly tree with a beautful view.

One of those ancient pines? Nice comp, but it seems a little flat, but I guess it was that kind of day.

There you go! Some clouds working with you. Outstanding in every way. My kind of
country.

I do like the quality of the clouds which work to enhance the gloomy feel of the view over the incredible landscape. The inclusion of the solitary scraggly tree works to capture the sense of the struggle for life in the most inhospitable of environments.

The weather (dramatic clouds) really sets this image apart and the
composition is perfect.

Have loved all this wonderful series. On some of them I'm kind of waiting to see a cowboy, coming from nowhere and going anywhere to his horse would carry his life...

Breathtaking view; Grand Canyon?

Thanks everyone. Appreciate the feedback. This was taken in
Canyonlands National Park. Michael, is this an improvement?

The measured but small percentage change from OP to no.2 made a large percentage difference in making the subject tree stand out and creating good depth to the photo. No.3 I like for itself having been smitten by the distressed look that I never tire of seeing and appreciating. Why is that? Kinda odd when you think about it. Painterly is the easy answer. Must be more to it than that though. Your foreground choices are excellent introductions to the big spaces out there.

No. 3 for me. Very cool processing. Love the extra, sorta, drama. I
must admit, I'm missing the difference in No. 1 and No. 2. Maybe a
tad more contrast, but not obvious. Maybe it's my monitor? But I
just bought this darn thing!

Good stuff Paul!

The third perhaps slightly edges for me, though could do without the effect in the sky!

Think the boost in the foreground greens and yellows helps, especially on the fg rocks.

Wondering how long before the tree disappears
