An image that would have worked in my mind with a different perspective with an eye to the surrounding elements to the Christmas tree. It is a Norwegian tradition to decorate with handmade decorations, like the shoes in the photo. Also, there is a tradition of children setting out their shoes to get treats, if they have been well- behaved. Maybe the shoes in the photo are part of an after Christmas sale?
