Chinook Winds

Warm west winds (chinooks) sweeping over the Rockies, melt
snow on the foothills - usually only a temporary
phenomenon. A white Christmas is still likely.

I like the contrast between the snow covered Rockies and the foreground foothills with their fall colors. I like this image with a black background which works to enhance both the details and the colors of your composition.
