I find the painterly feel of your composition of the Northern Harrier appealing with the body of the Harrier standing out in the image set against the blue sky. The colors of the dry grasses and the plumage of the bird serve to complement each other.

I was wondering if the left leg and talon are drawn up into the plumage or is the leg injured in some manner?

Excellent all around. I think my neighborhood hawks are gone for the season.

A shame that this one is not as crisp as most of your others.
